### The Challenge

The client was using multiple business email addresses across several domains with email hosted on a traditional hosting provider. They wanted to move their business email environment to **Google Workspace** while keeping historical emails accessible and organizing multiple addresses under a central mailbox.

The required structure included:

*   Multiple business email addresses
    
*   A primary Google Workspace user
    
*   A separate hello@ Google Group/shared inbox
    
*   Historical email preservation
    
*   Separate Gmail labels for different business addresses
    
*   Email aliases for future mail
    
*   Archive-only preservation for legacy addresses
    

### Solution

I designed and configured a centralized **Google Workspace email management structure**.

The primary user's mailbox was configured to manage multiple business identities through Gmail labels and aliases, while a separate `hello@` Group was configured for its intended incoming messages.

Historical IMAP mail was migrated into Google Workspace and organized according to the client's required mailbox structure. Legacy addresses that only needed historical preservation were treated separately rather than creating unnecessary active mailboxes.

I also worked on Gmail filtering and Google Workspace routing/compliance rules to ensure messages were delivered to the appropriate mailbox, label, or archive location.

### Result

The client obtained a centralized Google Workspace environment where:

*   Multiple business addresses can be managed from one primary mailbox.
    
*   Emails can be organized using dedicated Gmail labels.
    
*   hello@ has its own intended mail flow.
    
*   Historical emails are preserved after migration.
    
*   Legacy mailboxes can be retained for archive/preservation purposes.
